RJ-45 patch panel

RJ-45 patch panel is used to terminate twisted pair LAN networks in distribution cabinet . The individual patchpanel ports correspond to specific connections with a subscriber (end) point or other distribution cabinet. Most often, patch panels are adapted to be mounted in Rack 19 ” or Rack 10 ”.

Patch panel RJ-45 / IDC

This type of patch panel is equipped with IDC connectors for connecting installation cables. Connectors permanently integrated with the module mounted in the patch panel.

Patch panels of this type usually have 12 ports for the 10 "rack and 24 or 48 ports for the 19" rack

Use the appropriate tool to mount - Krone knife or IDC 110

This is a less convenient solution during installation, it does not allow any configuration of the ports. It is usually a cheaper solution.

Front panel

The patch panel has RJ-45 connectors . The pins of the connectors are gold-plated. They ensure the highest quality of work for> 1,200 cycles. The device ensures quick and reliable connection of devices to computer network . The sockets are compatible with all types of patchcords terminated with RJ-45 plugs (e.g. CAT5E, CAT 6, CAT 6A, CAT7). The best effect is achieved by using patchcords of the same or higher category as the device

LSA IDC connectors

The RJ45 patchpanel has LSA IDC connectors on the back of the case. The connectors are color coded for connection types TIA 568A and TIA 568B. They ensure the highest quality of work for> 300 installation cycles. Compatible with all popular network cable standards (eg CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, CAT7). For best results, use the same or a higher category of cables as the appliance. 22-26AWG

Keystone patch panel

Keystone patch panel allows any port configuration. We can place any number of modules in one patch panel. They can be RJ-45 modules of any category or type, fiber optic modules, HDMI, USB and others. Wires are connected to Keystone Jack modules in any order without any additional tools. Then the modules are placed in the patch panel. It is possible to change the configuration or replace the module at any time

Depending on the modules used, it is possible to use cables with different parameters and dimensions. In order to select the appropriate module, check its specification.

Installation of patch panels in 19 and 10 ”racks

In most cases, patch panels are designed to be mounted in rack rails with 10 or 19 spacing inches. Appropriate patch panel ports are connected via patchcords with switches or other network devices. The organizers in rack 19 ”, rack 10” or single holders are used to organize the cables.
