What are Keystone modules?

Keystone is the standard of a hole and a socket or other element that fills it. in this case, in keystone standard a socket is made RJ45 , which is used to make LAN connections using cables of the type“ twisted pair ". RJ45 keystone modules can be installed in special patchpanels , boxes, housings, housings for surface-mounted sockets . In this way, you can configure connections with different parameters and using different transmission technologies. You can mount sockets on all cables and then arrange them freely in the patch panel. Additionally, this configuration can be changed at any time. In the case of a traditional patch panel it is impossible. Additionally, in the event of a damaged connection, only one Keystone Jack module is replaced, not the entire patch panel. This is of key importance for the continuity of the network operation, costs and convenience of its operation.

Keystone modules - application
