Product description

RJ45 plug covers are part of the connection between the cable and the plug. They protect against bending or tearing out the cable. They provide more convenient connection and disconnection of wires to sockets. Most often, such connections are made using twisted pair cables.

RJ45 shield - division according to the type of connector

Depending on the type of plug, appropriate covers must be used. The outer plug covers are suitable for all types of connectors (105-80 to 105-86). Putting the covers on the plugs increases their total width. With a large number of sockets located close to each other (switch, patch panels) it can cause difficulties with connection. In such cases, inner casings with a special fastening inserted into the modular plug should be used.

Due to the differences in the construction of the plug and the need to precisely match the sheath to the plug, depending on the type of plug, different sheaths are used:

FTP/STP 5e sheath: 105-91

UTP 6 wrapper: 105-92
